Family Support New Hampshire is a leadership coalition that provides resource exchange, support and technical assistance for community based family resource centers and family support programs throughout New Hampshire. We promote a philosophy of primary prevention and are committed to working with state and local government towards systems change for the benefit of all New Hampshire Families.

In 1992, the executive directors from four family resource centers began to meet regularly to share program ideas, discuss funding challenges, and offer each other advice in this emerging field called family support.

In 1999, after securing a small amount of federal funds from the Office of Child Abuse and Neglect, and significant administrative support for the New Hampshire Children's Trust Fund, Family Support New Hampshire (formerly Network New Hampshire) developed by-laws, established a Board of Directors and registered with the Internal Revenue Service and State of New Hampshire to become a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation.

This small group of dedicated and progressive individuals, who once met around a kitchen table, has grown into Family Support New Hampshire, a leadership coalition with twenty-eight members. Family Support New Hampshire is now regarded at both the State and local levels as the premier resource and authority on the policy and practice of family support. A representative from Family Support New Hampshire sits on the State of NH Wellness and Primary Prevention Council.
